To manipulate Excel workbooks, let's take a
look at some generalized MS Excel shortcuts. This list gives you a taste at
(almost) all of the Excel shortcut combinations. Take the time to read it,
please. You'll find several of them useful, I'm sure.
When starting with Microsoft Excel, knowing a
few MS Excel shortcut keys will reduce your working time and make it easier for
you to work on Excel. Your productivity is reduced by using the mouse to do all
the tasks. Here are the most common Excel shortcuts to use when beginning to
work with Microsoft Excel.
The following are all the Generalized MS Excel
Shortcut Keys:
- CTRL + A = For Selecting all
- CTRL + B = BOLD Toggle (font)
- CTRL + C = For text copying
- CTRL + D = To Fill Down
- CTRL + E = For Flash Filling (Excel 2013 or later)
- CTRL + F = For Finding
- CTRL + G = For Going To a specific page or bookmark
- CTRL + H = For Finding and Replacing
- CTRL + I = For Italicize (font)
- CTRL + J = For Secret way to input line break
- CTRL + K = For Opening Insert Hyperlink window
- CTRL + L = For Inserting Excel Table (same as Ctrl + T)

- CTRL + N = For Opening New Workbook
